Asphalt Reinforcement with Built-in Tack Coat ADFOR Glas Grid Tack Film

Tack coat is a necessity when it comes to laying roadway applications. Without it, pavement is subject to debonding, slippage and cracking. But tack coat also presents a number of issues: proper, even coverage is difficult to achieve; curing time restricts paving construction; and tack can be tracked easily onto clean roads.

Saint-Gobain ADFORS has developed a new product that offers the benefits of tack coat without all the inherent problems: GlasGrid® TF (Tack Film). It contains a patent-pending, highly engineered film designed to replace the need for a tack coat. The fiberglass grid provides protection against reflective cracking, while the tack film enhances performance of the overlay, resultingin extended life.

Composite Reinforcement ADFORS GlasGrid Compo Grid for Milled Surface

Building on the success of GlasGrid®, the GlasGrid CG (CompoGrid) system answers a growing need for a proven pavement reinforcement that also acts as an effective moisture barrier. GlasGrid CG is a composite of a fiberglass grid and a non-woven paving fabric.

The high strength, high modulus, stiff fiberglass mesh reduces the potential for thermal and stress-related cracks reflecting through to the surface of a new asphalt overlay. The non-woven paving fabric provides an effective moisture barrier.

Suitable for bridge and highway repair, milled surface.

Self-Adhesive Fiberglass Asphalt Reinforcement ADFORS GlasGrid GG

GlasGrid® GG is a high-tensile fiberglass grid with an especially high mesh stiffness due to the consistent impregnation of each glass filament with our patented polymer coating in order to reach an effective bonding between asphalt layers. A unique feature is the pressure sensitive adhesive backing of the grid, which ensures a quick and efficient installation and provides a good bond with the surface. GlasGrid GG can be installed directly on an old asphalt surface or on a leveling course. For the application on a concrete pavement, the installation of an leveling course is necessary.

GlasGrid® GG is a complete road reinforcement system, which can be used in the construction and concrete joints, for lane widening and for detail or full width repairs.

Glasgrid PG suitable for small area repair

Asphalt reinforcement patch for single cracks and small areas ADFORS GlasGrid Patch Grid

GlasGrid PG is a fast and safe complete patch repair system for reinforcement of joint superstructures, single cracks and small asphalt areas. GlasGrid PG consists of a high stiffness fiberglass grid coated with a patented polymer coating. This product is specifically developed for the manual repair of small areas and can be installed directly on the milled surface without additional preparation.

The GlasGrid PG patch reinforcement retards reflective cracking 2 to 3 times by turning crack stresses horizontally to dissipate stress. The system can also be used for the covering of pipeline trenchs or for lane widening.
